Here you go, foodies....another SouthFloridaDines "FIND"! This restaurant, located in the Shoppes of Jupiter, has a fresh feel to it the moment you walk in and are immediately greeted with a cheerful hello, no matter how busy the wait staff is, handling the patrons at the 13 tables. The menu created by chef & owner Edward Bonsignore Jr., who's resume' includes some of the area's top eateries- Renato's and Cafe Chardonnay in Palm Beach and the now closed Lanni's in North palm Beach. He can make anything & everything. the menu is delightful, filled with wonderful combinations of fresh ingredients. Chef Bonsignore signature dish at Samantha's is an appetizer of crusted calamari($10), tossed with a slightliy spicy sauce, the Chef dubs this a "Twisted Tomato Scampi" it includes portobello mushrooms, basil, lemon, cherry peppers, and garlic. This is a knockout of a starter. Salad lovers will love the chopped greens with cucumber, tomato, candied nuts, gorgonzola cheese and champagne viniagrette. Exquisite! As for entrées, Samantha's runs the gamut from comfort food to classic Italian. How about a dish consisting of sautéed shrimp, diced tomato, capers and white wine with fresh tri-color Capellini pasta. A true show stealer! The blending of the flavors is excellent, with a perfect sauce and several good-sized shrimp. (Portions taken from Charles Passy review in the Palm beach post.) There's indoor and outdoor dining, and although Samantha's is located in a shopping plaza...the recipes, the food and the service equal that of any restaurant you'll find on the island of Palm Beach. Samantha's is simply terrific!!
