Da Vittorio is housed in a beautiful Mediterranean Coral Gables corner building. Dark hardwood floors and fixtures accent the dining room, where linen chairs surround classically set tables. The dimly lit, intimate cocktail lounge features comfortable white couches. Italian tunes from the 60's and 70's set the mood, while original art and ceramic pots of fresh flowers provide vibrant color. A courteous, multilingual wait staff attends to your every need.
Roman born Chef Vittorio Lozzi delivers the classics as they should be. Traditional Italian recipes like Spaghetti alla Carbonara and Costolletta alla Milanese, a breaded veal chop on the bone, topped with rucola and cherry tomatoes, are prepared exclusively with imported organic ingredients. Pizza Margherita or with Prosciutto di Parma make a wonderful light meal when paired with fine Italian wine and steaming Sauteed Clams in a fragrant garlic, white wine and extra virgin olive oil broth. Homemade Linguine alla Puttanesca in robust red sauce with red onions, capers and Italian olives, is as earthy as the Roman ladies of the evening it was named for. Save room for a sumptuous Tiramisu or Ricotta Cannoli, made inhouse daily, with Espresso and Grappa or Dessert Wine.
Afterwards, relax in the romantic lounge to soothing live Flamenco guitar or cool jazz Wednesday through Saturday nights. Nowhere outside of Rome will you enjoy a more exquisite meal. But remember: it's not just a meal -- it's an experience!
