When the Big Kahuna and Gidget are in town, they always strap their surfboards to their dune buggy and stop in at Hurricane Alley for some cold beer and an over-sized bread bowl of the famous Seafood Bisque, loaded with Bay Shrimp, Crab and Clams.
Whether it's warm and sunny or dark and blustery, you'll be blown away by the awesome food. The menu reads like a Hurricane Alert, from Categories One through Five, and features a unique Gorgonzola Steak Salad made with a Rib-Eye Steak; Oysters Rockefeller and Homemade Conch Fritters; a fresh-from-the-sea Raw Bar with Clams and Oysters, Peel and Eat Shrimp and beautiful Sushi and Rolls. "Twisters" are large Flour Tortilla Wraps filled with all your favorites, like Barbecued Pork and Hand Carved Turkey. The Frances Fury Sandwich is so fierce that its roof was blown off! (That's surfer speak for an open-faced BLT!)
When the gale dies down, drop anchor at an umbrella-shaded sidewalk table, and when it howls, take shelter inside, where the walls are festooned with storm warnings, big mounted stuffed fish and an original Nomad Surf Shop poster. Kids under twelve will love the Little Storm Trooper Menu, because their meal includes a beverage, fries and ice cream!
Owner/Captain Kim Kelly Garnsey and her crew invite you to join them and all the other happy surfers, diners and drinkers for the most perfect wave -- and meal -- of your life at the easy, breezy Hurricane Alley.
